Best loco moco on the island
Malasadas made by hand
Some folks come in just for these — pillowy Portuguese doughnuts, the cream-filled ones “not too sweet,” pulled hot from the fryer. Grab a box for the drive home, or eat one standing at the counter. No judgment.
Generous, customizable, and unfussy — the way a local breakfast should be. Spam and Portuguese-sausage breakfast sammies pack easy for the beach. This isn’t a resort buffet, and that’s the point.
Tucked into Azeka Shopping Center off South Kihei Road, Home Maid Cafe isn’t trying to impress anyone with the room — it’s the food and the welcome. Honeymooners come back three mornings in a row. Regulars get greeted by name. As one review put it: “the welcome mixed with great food makes me feel like I am home.”
